Most agents charge anywhere from 4.5% to 6% of the sale price of your property. My earned commission is 5%.
Using an example of a 400,000 house sale, your cost is 20,000 plus GST (yes, the government gets in there as always) = 21,000

Of this, half goes to the Buyer’s Agent (10,500)

Of the remaining half (10,500), approximately 3,500 is remitted to the Ontario and Federal governments (GST and Income Tax).

Subtract 1000.00 which goes to my company, my two assistants and association fees.
Subtract 500.00 which I choose to give to a charitable organization that is dear to me.
Subract 1000.00 approximately, in monies spent by me to sell your home (to provide you with my “More than you expected” services)

The result is that I net, approximately, 4,500 in earned commission for my work which I believe you will be wholeheartedly satisfied with.
